What people say
“The product helped with the awareness of my posture while seated through its real-time feedback. It also helps adopt more relaxing positions, that are more comfortable and avoid slouching. I was conscious about my posture more often now. The real time feedback from the device also kept me alert to bad posture.“
“This device has helped improve my awareness of posture while working by providing real-time feedback that helps me make simple yet effective adjustments. For example, I often place a pad in front of the keyboard during meetings to make notes, and afterward, I find myself overreaching to use my keyboard without realizing it. The feedback made me aware of this habit instantly, and now I simply move the notebook aside, allowing me to maintain a good posture while typing. The technology keeps me mindful of my positioning and helps me correct it instantly, making a noticeable difference in my comfort and posture throughout the day“
“I found the MOVA incredibly easy to use and set up and when you are wearing it, you entirely forget until the notifications which are most welcome when posture naturally begins to decline.”
“I have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from the desk-based ergonomics trial. I have completely changed my desk setup to be more ergonomic and have become much more aware of my posture, thanks to the trial. I would definitely use this product again and would thoroughly recommend it to any home-based colleagues who might be experiencing any discomfort."
“Overall I can see this having some benefits in terms of generating data for review afterwards and development of action plans, potentially feeding in to the DSE assessment. “
Evidence Based Approach
MOVA SEAT is built on solid scientific foundations, incorporating HSE compliance guidance and MSD prevention research. Our trial results demonstrate significant improvements in user awareness and comfort levels. The technology has received endorsements from ergonomic professionals and occupational health specialists who recognize its potential to address the growing challenge of desk-based work-related MSDs
HSE Research: DSE Use and MSD Risks
Recent findings from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) show credible evidence linking the use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) with musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) symptoms. Key risk factors include long hours of DSE use, poor workstation setup, awkward or static postures, and insufficient work-rest breaks. Health and Safety Executive (HSE). (2024). HSE Guidance on Proper Workstation Setup

To help prevent musculoskeletal strain, HSE recommends a properly setup workstation: screen should be at eye level and about an arm's length away, shoulders relaxed without shrugging, keyboard positioned just below elbow height, and the seat supporting both front and back of your thighs with a 2–3 cm gap behind your knees. Additionally, the chair should provide adequate lower back support, and your mouse and keyboard should be directly in front to avoid twisting https://www.hse.gov.uk/msd/dse/good-posture.htm Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Working safely with display screen equipment, 3. Best Practices for Screen Work Breaks
According to HSE, employers must plan work so that Display Screen Equipment (DSE) users have regular breaks or changes of activity. While there is no fixed legal guidance on the exact timing, short breaks taken often such as 5 to 10 minutes every hour are better than longer breaks less frequently. Ideally, employees should be able to choose when to take breaks, using the time to move around, stretch, or change posture. https://www.hse.gov.uk/msd/dse/work-routine.htm Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Working safely with display screen equipment, 4.
