Graduate / Early-Career Biomechanist

Location: Chippenham, UK (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and inquisitive Biomechanist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to apply their biomechanics and ergonomics knowledge in real-world occupational settings.
You will work closely with our clients and research partners to collect, analyse, and interpret movement data using our MOVA® technology, helping to identify and reduce MSD risks. You’ll also contribute to our ongoing R&D activities, technical documentation, and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of MOVA® technology with clients and trial partners, including data collection and field assessments.

  • Analyse movement and posture data using SpatialCortex tools and established biomechanical methods to assess MSD risk exposure.

  • Generate clear, data-driven insights and support senior staff in communicating findings and recommendations to clients.

  • Contribute to R&D projects, helping to refine our technology, methods, and analytics.

  • Assist in preparing technical reports, case studies, and conference papers.

  • Support outreach activities, such as writing LinkedIn articles, participating in trade shows, and attending technical events.

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • A degree in Biomechanics, Human Movement Science, Ergonomics, Sports Science, or a related discipline.

  • Familiarity with biomechanical modelling and/or motion analysis tools.

  • Interest in occupational biomechanics, MSD risk assessment, and HSE frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communicator — able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Empathetic and people-focused, with an ability to understand the challenges faced by workers and employers.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites and research partners within the UK.

What We Offer

  • A unique opportunity to apply biomechanics in a real-world, industry-focused context.

  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge sensor technology and analytics.

  • Mentorship and professional development within an innovative R&D environment.

  • Opportunities to attend conferences, publish work, and engage with clients and partners.

  • Competitive salary (depending on experience) and supportive, collaborative work culture.
