Frontline staff, including Catering hosts, Passenger Companion, Travel Assist colleagues and conductors, encounter ergonomic risks daily through activities like deploying ramps, assisting passengers, pushing wheelchairs, and delivering catering services. If these risks are not appropriately managed, they can lead to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs), negatively affecting staff health, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
SpatialCortex’s MOVA technology, developed with the support of InnovateUK grant funding, offers innovative features that enable workplaces to proactively understand, anticipate, reduce, and prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in a data-driven manner.
Over the next few months, TFW will trial MOVA technology with their train hosts and conductors in both training and operational environments.
Simon Carpenter, Safety Officer, TFW, who champions the testing of this innovative technology said “TFW is committed to the safety of our staff and customers, and we are keen to take a proactive approach in understanding and addressing MSD risks to ensure the well-being of our colleagues. SpatialCortex’s technology helps us do exactly that”
Kailash Manohara Selvan, CEO of SpatialCortex said, “We are thrilled with TFW’s support for this trial. We look forward to the valuable insights our technology will provide, the positive impact it will bring at TFW and the learning for us from a product development perspective”
